The Deacons ministry exist to help shepherd the congregation according to Acts 6. They are servants and leaders of ministries who support the work of the church and the Pastor. The office of the deacon is one of servanthood and service representing Christ through the action of the Holy Spirit and are set apart for a ministry of mercy, service, and outreach. This is done through in home and hospital visitation, benevolent matters, and the administering of the sacraments to the sick and shut-in, as well as to the body at large during Holy Communion. The ministry participants serve under the guidance of the Holy Spirit through the Senior Pastor and are either appointed or approved by the Office of the Pastor.
