Ivy A. Scudder, currently employed by AT&T Mobility as a Business Customer
Service Specialist, is a native of Englewood, NJ where she attended the Englewood
School system, graduating from the Dwight Morrow High School in 1980. She
earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from John Jay College of Criminal Justice

and a Master of Arts Degree in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty Baptist Theologi-
cal Seminary, where she graduated with honors.

Ivy answered her call to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in 2007 and began pre-
paring. She was licensed as a Gospel Preacher on February 26, 2012, by the Rev-
erend Dr. Lester W. Taylor, Jr., the Sr. Pastor of the Community Baptist Church of

Englewood, NJ, and ordained on September 27, 2015, by the Permanent Council of
the North Jersey District Missionary Baptist Association.
She has served as the Director of Christian Discipleship at the Community Baptist
Church of Englewood. since 2017. She is a Bible Teacher and an Intercessor. She
loves the Lord and is excited about teaching His Word. Her life is a testimony of
God’s power. She is the very proud mother of Ivy Alisha Busby.
Ivy’s favorite Psalm is Psalm 91 and the Scripture she identifies with is Philippians
3:13-14, which says,
“Brethren, I do not count myself yet to have apprehended; but one thing I do,
forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things
which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of
God in Christ Jesus.”
